Laser Locators Very Own Amanda Wilson Wins 2016 Tampa Bay Woman of the Year

Amanda Wilson, Sales and Customer Support Associate, was named 2016 Tampa Bay Woman of the Year on Saturday, March 5th at the Tampa Jet Center which was attended by over 350 people from the greater Tampa Bay area.

Amanda-Trey-Sean-WOY-post-Crowning-2016-150x150[1]Woman of the Year is an annual event sponsored by the Westchase Charitable Foundation (WCF), a non-profit organization which helps raise funds for families who have children suffering from a critical or terminal illness. The event is also a tribute to women in the Tampa Bay area who have both an active presence in their workplace and are leaders in their community.

“Amanda’s passion for helping others, her tireless efforts to raise funds, and her work in securing donations, lead her to the prestigious title of 2016 Tampa Bay Woman of the Year,” said Sean O’Donnell, President and CEO of Laser Locators. Amanda raised over $50,000 in cash and in-kind donations (which is a new WCF fundraising record) by holding twelve events in the community over a nine week period. From bingo, to poker, to celebrity bartending, to food truck rallies, Amanda truly lived up to the phrase she admires, “one person can make a difference in the lives of many.”

“This experience has been an amazing honor. The Westchase Charitable Foundation has allowed me to directly impact my community on a level I never knew was possible. The feeling of love and support through all the selfless work is insurmountable. I am so grateful for the gift the WCF has given me and for the strength to achieve my goals in raising a record-breaking amount of money,” said Amanda the winner of the 2016 Tampa Bay Woman of the Year.
